Mary Duncan Obituary

Mary Catherine Duncan, 77, of Arnold, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, in St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Gibsonia, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Aug. 7, 1935, in Arnold, daughter of the late Michael F. and Margaret Zakarowsky Kossick. She lived in Arnold all of her life. Mary attended and graduated from Arnold High School in the class of 1953. She was employed by Golden Dawn for 13 years. Mary enjoyed camping and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the former All Saints Roman Catholic Church, of Arnold, and a life member of the Arnold No. 2 Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. James Duncan; and brother, Michael F. Kossick Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Marjorie Ann (Ralph) Brown, of Arnold; son, James (Wendy) Duncan, of Arnold; and grandchildren, Rebecca Duncan, Bethany, Kourtney and Nathan Brown. Family and friends will be received from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, in the JOSEPH J. CARDARO FUNERAL HOME, a Service Oriented Funeral Home, 1125 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, 724-337-3325. Prayers of Transfer will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, New Kensington. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Arnold. Arnold No. 2 Fire Department and the Arnold No. 2 Ladies Auxiliary will hold services at 7:30 p.m. Sunday from the funeral home.
