Michael Rebyanski Obituary

Michael T. Rebyanski, 57, of Shelocta, died Sunday, March 4, 2012, at his home. He was born in 1954 in Camp Le Jeune, N.C., to Eugene and Flora Bozzarelli Rebyanski. Michael was a peace-time veteran of the Army at Fort Dix, N.J., and was a marksman with the M16. He was a volunteer with the veteran's office for many years. He was employed as a coal miner for Tunnelton Mining for 15 years until his disability. A resident of Armstrong Township for the past 29 years, he enjoyed nature, helping people, sharing humor, making people laugh and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed attending his sons' baseball games. Michael is survived by his wife, Diane Pividori Rebyanski, of Shelocta; two sons, Anthony and wife, Amy, of Indiana, and Matthew, of Shelocta; his mother, of Apollo; two brothers, Salvatore and wife, Connie, of Apollo, and Eugene, of Sarver; and two nieces, Nicole Rebyanski, of Apollo, and Taylor Rebyanski, of Oakmont. He was preceded in death by his father in 2009. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the BOWSER-MINICH FUNERAL HOME, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with Father Charles Esposito officiating. www.bowserminich.com.
