N. Couch Obituary

Nora Alice Couch, of New Kensington, born July 6, 1928, in Glenn Campbell, to Sarah Elizabeth and William T. Couch, died peacefully Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, in Presbyterian University Hospital, Oakland. She always had a smile for everyone and will always be remembered for her sweet disposition and happy demeanor. Alice enjoyed TV, old movies and doing crossword puzzles. Her love of animals was only surpassed by her love for family, friends and strangers alike. She loved to sing and in her younger years, and sang with the Rusty Herman Band. She was a cook at several places in her life, but will be most fondly remembered for the time she spent working at the Ar-Den in Arnold. She is survived by her daughter, Alnora (Raymond) Marsh, of New Kensington; her granddaughter, Corinne (fiance, Joshua Barr) Tomasik, of St. Clairsville, Ohio; her great-granddaughter, Kailey Marie Barr, of St. Clairsville; grandsons, Justin Marsh, of Lower Burrell, and Jon (Casey) Marsh, of Enon Valley; brother-in-law, Thomas Haugh, of New Kensington; sisters-in-law, Violet Couch, of New Kensington, Jean Gamerro, of Arnold, and Ann Cappello, of Lower Burrell; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Samuel, William, Myles and Robert Couch; and sisters, Leona Yeager, Hazel Brunner, and Janet Haugh. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the GIUNTA-BERTUCCI FUNERAL HOME INC., family owned and operated for over 60 years, 1509 Fifth Ave., Arnold. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Harold Mele presiding. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
