Richard McAtee

Richard Keith McAtee 72, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully at his granddaughter Alyse (Jordan) Maslonik's home, with whom he resided on Saturday, March 16, 2024. He was born in New Kensington to the late George C. and Eileen Kline McAtee and has been a lifelong resident of New Kensington. Mr. McAtee worked in environmental services for UPMC for 45 years and volunteered at Lazarus Tomb Coffeehouse in New Kensington for over 40 years. He enjoyed bowling leagues, fishing, golfing, and hunting. He is survived by his children, Keith L. Shick of North Carolina, Sherry L. (Jeffrey) Smith of Latrobe, Robin L. (Neil) Baltus of Phoenixville, PA., Brian R. (Traci) Shick of North Carolina, fourteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, brother Patrick G. (Lillian) McAtee of New Kensington, and sister Sandy Hobbs of Florida. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnne McAtee, and son, Kenneth Shick. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at THE RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Rd. at Alder St. where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. by Rev.
