Richard Wojcik Obituary

Richard A. Wojcik, 66, of Columbia, MD, passed away August 20, 2024 at UPMC Cole, Coudersport, PA. He was the eldest son of Richard Wojcik and Helen Wash Wojcik of Creighton, PA who preceded him in death. Richard was a graduate of Penn State University and a Software Engineer at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab for 44+ years. Richard received numerous awards and commendations in his career and will be greatly missed by his colleagues. Richard traveled the world and enjoyed photography, crossword puzzles, running, and spending time with his family and friends. Richard will be greatly missed by his family. He is survived by his siblings, Teri L. (Fred) Milliron, Mark E. Wojcik, Amy L. (John) McIntyre; nephews, Lucas F. (Nichole) Milliron, Jacob R. (Shaina) Milliron, Jesse A. (Kristen) McIntyre; and grandnephews and grandnieces, Cole, Oakley, Wesley, Adaline, Reid, Elias, Zoey, Ava, and Paisley. A memorial to celebrate his life and achievements will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 1 pm-4 pm (Eulogy & Tributes at 1:30 pm) at Intelligent Systems Center, Building, 201 Auditorium, 11091 Johns Hopkins Road, Laurel, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Richard's name may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. To express condolences or share a fond memory of Richard, please visit www.legacy.com.
