Born Oct. 13, 1926, in Creighton, East Deer, to the late Andrew L. and Josephine E. (Myers) Crosky, he lived in the New Kensington and Lower Burrell area for the past 20 years and prior to that lived in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and Anchorage, Alaska.
He was a 1944 graduate of East Deer High School and 1952 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. He was a petroleum engineer for Atlantic Richfield Co. for 33 years.
He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington, the American Legion and VFW, both in Lower Burrell; and River Forest Country Club, Allegheny Township; and was a knight in the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. He enjoyed golf, bridge, traveling and visiting and spending time with his family.
Mr. Crosky is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jo Ann (Collins) Crosky; two daughters, Peggy (David) Corry of Buffalo Township, and Roberta (William) Leeder of Calgary; two sons, Jeffrey (Connie) Crosky of Anchorage, Alaska, and Gregg (Shelly) Crosky of Spokane, Wash.; granddaughters, Sarah and Kylie Crosky, Tara Turner and Laura Corry; and grandsons, Paul Leeder and Josh Crosky.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Shelby Crosky; and a brother, Andrew T. Crosky.
Relatives and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., Tenth Avenue at Corbet Street, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Parting prayers will be at 9:15 a.m. Monday in the funeral home followed by Christian funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington. His pastor, the Rev. Larry J. Kulick, will officiate. A vigil service will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Our Lady of Hope mausoleum, Frazer. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church Memorial Fund, 1125 Leishman Ave., New Kensington, PA 15068, or Forbes Hospice, c/o Forbes Health Foundation, 2570 Haymaker Road, Monroeville, PA 15146-9117.
