Ronald Yohe Obituary

Ronald J. Yohe Sr., 92, of Lower Burrell, passed away Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021. He was born Oct. 4, 1929, in New Kensington, to the late Delbert J. and Agnes J. Ochenduzska Yohe. Ronald was a skilled equipment operator and ran Ronald J. Yohe Excavating and loved showing that skill all his life. He served his country during the Korean Conflict as a corporal, infantry, in the Army. Ronald lived most of his life in Lower Burrell on family farmland and enjoyed raising beef cattle and pigs. In his younger years, he liked bowling, stock car racing and could clear a dance floor while jitterbugging with his wife, as spectators watched. Ronald was a skilled hunter, and frequently went to his camp, not only to hunt, but to spend time with his brothers, sons, grandchildren and nephews. In his retirement, he enjoyed hanging out with his friends at Fuzzy Simon Tire Service and Buffalo Bill's Roadhouse. He was preceded in death by his brothers, William F., Bernard, Delbert, Paul and Joseph "Lew" Yohe; and sister, Relda M. Betts. Ronald is survived by his wife, Sara E. Dohmen Yohe; children, Linda and Randy Calcagno, Ron Yohe Jr., John and Ann Yohe, Bill Yohe, Mark Yohe and Monica and Jason Ribblett; grandchildren, Alec and Keya, Jonathan and Kiersten, Adam and Emily and Jake, Mason, Sophia and Lucas; first great-grandchild, Oliver; step-grandchildren, Ryan Zeiler and daughter, Rylee, and Amanda Zeiler and children, Natalya, Nella and Roman; sisters, Jacqueline Yohe and Charlotte Polak; and many nieces and nephews. RIP RJY. A private family visitation and funeral were held at the JOSEPH J. CARDARO FUNERAL HOME, New Kensington, 724-337-3325. Memorial contributions may be made in loving memory of Ronald to the American Heart Association, Veterans Association of your choice or the Westmoreland County Food Bank.
