Born Aug. 18, 1921, in Elizabeth, N.J., he had been a resident of this area since 1948.
An Army veteran, he served in World War II as an infantry radio operator.
Mr. Cascone attended art school in New York City and owned and operated Valley Art Shop, New Kensington, for 40 years.
He was a member of Mount St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington.
Mr. Cascone was an artist, and did work for Carnegie Museum and in the chapel of Mount St. Peter Church.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Lena Runco Cascone of Arnold; two sons, George of Vandergrift and Thomas Cascone of New Kensington; three daughters, Mrs. Jack (Linda) Woodford of Wisconsin, Mrs. Raymond (Suzanne) Tiberio of West Leechburg and Mrs. Jason (Marianne) Hilty of Arnold; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Frances Niznick of New Jersey and Dolly Sprague of Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Salvatrice Ranioli Cascone; a brother, John Cascone; and an infant sister, Maria Cascone.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 tonight in GIUNTA FUNERAL HOME INC., 1509 Fifth Ave., Arnold, where services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Christian Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in Mount St. Peter Church, New Kensington. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
