ALVIN MOFFAT

Alvin Ezra Moffat Alvin was born in Fruitland, WA on Sept. 1, 1925 to Ethel (Mills) and Arthur Moffat, and passed away on Aug. 13, 2014 at age 88. Alvin lived in the Sumner area for 50 years. He was an Elementary Principal for Tacoma Public Schools. He was an avid golfer at the Linden Golf Club. He was preceded in death by his wife Annamarie in 2011. He is survived by his daughter Deeann and her husband Akhil Shah, son Arthur and his wife Joan Moffat, 2 grandchildren, Isis and Ajay, and many other extended family and friends. In memory of Alvin, donations are suggested to the Annamarie Calavan Moffat Scholarship Fund (Sumner High School). Graveside service with military honors will be on Mon., Aug. 25, 2014, 9:30am, at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, with a reception following at 11:00am at High Cedars Golf Club in Orting.
