Brandon Hefty Obituary

Brandon Hefty Brandon was taken away from us in a tragic accident on Thursday after getting off the school bus, he was 13. He was born in Tacoma and moved to Auburn 3 years ago. He attended Pt. Defiance Elementary and transferred to Hazelwood Elementary in the 5th grade, and then went to Rainier Middle School. He loved sports and played football and baseball for his school. When he grew up he wanted to play for the Seahawks or Packers. Most days you would find Brandon outside playing basketball, football, baseball or riding bikes with the neighborhood kids. He was always telling jokes and making kids laugh. He had the gift to gab. He loved to go camping and had recently learned to snowboard. He loved his dogs Chewy and Corky, and was always looking out for his little brother Jerrod. He was a bright spot in our lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his parents Paul and Jeanette, his big sister Tanya, and little brother Jerrod. Also grandparents, Rosie, Marilyn, Terry, and Francis, as well as his aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be held on Friday June 1st, 4:00PM at the LDS Church 625 M St NE, Auburn, WA. We love you Brandon aka Ziplock, Hefty-bags.

It´s been so many years and you still cross my mind. Wondering who you´d be now as an adult. Will never forget my polar bear best friend.

Brandon never said anything wrong to anyone. He always had a smile, and i will never forget that. He always had a joke to tell, and he never did anything wrong. We will miss him. He was a good friend to all of us. I am deeply sorry for the families loss, and i want them to know that everyone who knew him loved him, will always miss him. He is gone but never forgotten. R.I.P Brandon

Brandon was on our little league team a couple years ago. I was one of the coaches. The first day, he came right up to me and introduced himself. He played left field many times, and I would always say "Brandon you need to run in and back up the play at 3rd", and he did --- every single time from that point on. He came ready to work at every practice, and you could tell he loved being there. We had a losing season that year (1-19) but I never saw anything but a smile on his face.

It's not often that you meet an 11-year old that will take the initiative that he did. I've never met another kid like him, and the world is a better place because he was in it, however briefly. My prayers go out to you and your family.

I just want to say how sorry I am about your loss! My daughter goes to rainier and knew brandon, all of the kids have really been affected by this and the candlelight vigil was a great way for all of the kids to come together to remember the great times they all had with Brandon! I remember Brandon when he went to Hazelwood elem as I use to work there! He was a very special kid and you all are in my prayers!

It was my pleasure and honor to have Brandon in my math class. Brandon loved everyone and everyone loved Brandon. His infectious smiles warmed everyone along with his kind deeds, such as always giving paper and pencils to those students without. We have lost a wonderful individual, but The Good Lord has gained another Angel. Our prayers are with you, especially Brandon's Big Sister. God Bless

I knew Brandon ever since he moved to Auburn. We both had the same class in 5th grade. We were good friends and always got along.I didn't have any classes with him in 6th and 7th grade. But i would always see him in my P.E class. When i would come by my friend Dakota's house he would come outside too.We would skate down the hill by your house or pass the football back and forth. He told me about the presidents concert. He must of had a great time. Well, I'm really sorry about what happened to Brandon. He will never be forgotten.

I tutored Brandon as a first grader when he attended Pt. Defiance and we were working together when we had that big earthquake six years ago. I told him we were "earthquake buddies" and everytime the subject of the earthquake came up, I would think of him. Brandon made a great impression on me and I can tell he made a wonderful impression on everybody else he met. I would like Brandon's family to know how very sorry I am. I have been, and will continue to pray for Brandon.
