CHAD BENJAMIN Obituary

Chad R. Benjamin Born December 11, 1963, Chad crossed the finish line into Heaven on April 10, 2014, following complications from a stroke. A man of strong faith, Chad was very involved in church and was the president of Racing For Jesus Ministries. He and his wife Nancy traveled to racetracks in WA, OR, ID, and CA, making friends and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. Chad was a 3-time Champion, and had been the president of Outlaw Compact Auto Racing for a number of years. He was also the owner/operator of Chad's Auto Repair in Sumner. Chad was very loved and will be greatly missed by his wife Nancy, children John, Holli, Stephani, and Aaron, grandchildren Evalynn and Liahm, mother Judy, siblings Kirk and Susan, and a multitude of other family and friends. A celebration of Chad's life will be held on Sunday, May 4, at 1:30 p.m. at Puyallup Foursquare Church, 601 9th Ave. SE, Puyallup. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up to help the family. https://www.youcaring.com/ChadBenjamin

I grew up with Chad Benjamin on Lake Tapps when it was "no mans land". Everyone knew everyone and we were all family. We shared our long bus rides to and from school and our weekends just hanging out at the lake or causing trouble were ever we could. (which wasn't hard because there wasn't that many of us in the neighborhood) I have lost touch with him since we all grew up and moved away and it saddens me to see this; I am his age; we grew up together. He was taken way to young. I remember him just the quiet guy on Orchard Lane, but he was a hard worker and so friendly even as a kid. My heart goes out to his beautiful family and his mother Judy and all his friends he's met on his journey in life who loved him dearly. Now he's on another journey. Chad you will be missed.
