MAURICE MOWRE Obituary

Maurice E. Mowre Passed away on May 6, 2015 in Bellingham WA where he resided for the last 6 years. He was born April 27th, 1922 in Tacoma, WA where he lived most of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife Lois, his parents Ross and Mae Mowre, his sisters Lilly Heimilburger and Donna Rae Rhay, his brother Stan Mowre, his grandson Thomas Perreault, and his great grandson Jessiah Jameson. He served his country in the Army Air Corp. during WWII. He worked for Tacoma City Light for 30 years until his retirement. His greatest joy was ballroom dancing to big band music and growing flowers. He enjoyed family get-togethers and no gathering was complete without his wry sense of humor. Surviving are his daughters Maureen Beeman and Diane Perreault, and grandchildren Tracy Traber, Kenneth Granacki, Kandi Devenere, Karl Beeman, Katie Butenschoen, Sean and Destanie Beeman, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, and his special longtime friend and companion Gloria Rawson. There will be a celebration of life of AMVETS Post 1, 5717 So. Tyler, Tacoma, WA at 1:00 pm on May 21, 2015. Those who wish may visit the graveside afterward at New Tacoma Cemetery.
