Ed snd I grew up together in Excelsior Minnesota. His Dad started a rep business in Minneapolis shortly after World War II, selling products for the hardware industry. My Dad joined his Dad back in the 1950s. Paul, Eds dad, eventually moved to Oakland California becoming president of Thorsen Tool Company. We helped each other with the sales rep business. Because of the hardware industry changes, I decided to move on around 2000 into another career. But when my Dad died I received a thoughtful hand written letter from Ed outlining the many good times we all had together. Sorry to read about Ed.

Gail and I are privileged to have known such a genuine, kind and humble man.
We always felt a friend ship with both Susan and Ed. We especially enjoyed the fish restaurant at the dock, and your house at Christmas time.
A truly good guy, warm wishes to the family this difficult time.

It was my privilege to have known Ed and to enjoy and treasure his friendship over the past 40 years. Over time, the greatest loss anyone can ever have is not the loss of material things, but the loss of friends. I will miss my friend Ed.
