Sandra Campbell Obituary

Sandra Lynn Campbell

November 15, 1950 - September 22, 2024

Puyallup, WASHINGTON - Sandra Lynn Campbell (Mahoskey) born November 15, 1950 left this earth and her beloved family on September 22, 2024. Known to family and friends as Sandy or Sam, she was born and raised in Tacoma WA and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1969. She soon met and married Bob Campbell in January 1970 and they moved to Fremont California before returning to Tacoma to start a family.

In 1979 and in the early days of living organ donation, Sandy bravely donated a kidney to her older sister Donna Wilsie. The gift extended her sister's life and enabled the two to create precious memories together for another 25 years.

Prior to the birth of her children Sandy worked various clerical and sales jobs. She co-owned a family business with her husband and later opened an in-home daycare where she deeply enjoyed caring for young children.

Sandy was a talented photographer. She enjoyed videography, country music and planning holidays and other celebrations. Sandy leaves behind a 50 year record of family photos and video recordings.

Sandy had open heart surgery on September 12. She sadly developed unexpected complications. Despite a valiant fight Sandy passed away 10 days later surrounded by her loving family.

Sandy was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Mahoskey and sister Donna Wilsie. She is survived by husband Bob, daughters Rochelle Campbell and Lindsay Stril (Greg), grandchildren Tenley and Sawyer Stril, sisters Marilyn Disch and Deanne Cantalini (Albert). Sandy's life will forever be celebrated by her family and friends. At her request no formal services will be held. To honor Sandy's life please consider blood and organ donation and smile warmly for your next photo.

Dear Bob, Lindsay and Rochelle,
I was deeply, deeply saddened to hear Sandy is no longer with us. Even though years have passed since our school days, the bond we formed during that time remains special to me, and my heart goes out to you during this difficult period.
I have fond memories of our time together in school, how Sandy always lit up a room with her smile, was there for me when I needed to cruise on 6th Ave to blow off steam and there for friends in need who needed a tipple! It's clear that the warmth and kindness she showed back then has only grown over the years, touching the lives of so many around her.
Having lost my husband in 2018 I can only offer you that the pain lessens with time yet is always with us, and I hope you can find comfort in the memories you shared and the love that surrounds you.
May your memories bring you comfort, and your loved ones bring you support. I plan on planting a Palo Blanco in her memory in my Sonoran Desert Backyard commemorating her blond beauty and strength,

Sandy was always the busy bee at family gatherings. Always with a camera in hand, she took loving pictures of her family that I'm sure will be cherished memories. We all miss you, Sandy. God's speed. I will see you again.

I met Sandy and Bob when they moved to Fremont, Calif. we became very close best friends. We spent almost every day together ... she taught me one when I purchased my first sewing machine. She was a beautiful lady inside and out! We reconnected a few years ago and stayed in contact. This world is less brighter without her beautiful light... Miss you my friend. Rest in peace
