SEAN HOEY

1956 - 2015

Sean Michael Hoey Age 59, died peacefully October 9, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was born April 8, 1956 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Richard and Natalie Hoey. He is pre-deceased by his parents and his sister Margaret. Sean graduated from Peninsula High School in Gig Harbor, the University of Washington, and Washington State University with degrees in Political Economics and Criminal Justice. He enjoyed a 35-year career as an accomplished restaurant designer, designing and implementing signature restaurants throughout the Northwest. Sean enjoyed international travel, politics, boating, camping, nature, team and outdoor sports, his dogs, and most of all, spending time with his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife Christine; children Jennifer (Jay) and Ryan; grandchildren Jacob, Jarrod, James, and Jessica; siblings Laura, Matt (Kimber), Kathleen (Dan), and Chris (Patty); and numerous nieces and nephews; all of whom he loved deeply. He will be greatly missed. Services were held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Tacoma, on Saturday October 17. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that he be honored with remembrances in care of the Humane Society.
