Shirley Zieldorff Obituary

Shirley Jean Zieldorff, 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, in Tacoma, Washington.

Born on March 26, 1945, in Tacoma, Washington, Shirley was the daughter of Evelyn Marie (Fairbanks) and Bert Peter Mork. She cherished her childhood memories-picking fresh fruit in her grandmother's yard with her brother, countless hours spent at the beach or on the boat, and cooking and laughing with her mother. She attended Lincoln High School and later earned degrees from Anchor Bay High School and Macomb Community College.

After marrying, she spent nearly half her life in Michigan raising her children and building a life filled with meaningful moments. Though she made a home there, her heart remained in Washington. In 2000, she returned to her beloved home state, splitting time between the maritime city of Gig Harbor and the coastal town of Ocean Shores, reflecting her lifelong love of the water.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Stanley Mork; and her daughter, Anita Lynn (Pruneda) Wellman. She is survived by her sons, Robert Pruneda (Kimberly) and Ricardo Pruneda; granddaughters Elaine Wellman (Jordan Skinner) and Elizabeth Wellman (Ricky Young); and great-grandchildren Wilder Gray and Huxley Quinn.

Shirley's strength and unwavering love were the foundation of her family. Her presence brought comfort and joy to those around her-she was a constant source of warmth whose laughter filled every room. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

May her legacy bring peace to all who mourn her passing.
