Steven Thiel Obituary

Steven A. Thiel Steven A. Thiel, 56, a longtime Puyallup resident died December 7. He was born on April 18, 1948 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Mr. Thiel was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a longtime employee at Jennings Equipment in Puyallup. He and his wife Fritzi ran the junior bowling league program at Daffodil Lanes for 8 years. Survived by his wife, Fritzi, children, Anne Thiel, Puyallup; Virginia Thiel, Seattle; Gregory Thiel, Puyallup; brother, Jerry Thiel, Seattle. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Monday Dec. 13, 1 p.m. at the Fruitland Grange. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Scleroderma Research Foundation c/o Puyallup Valley Bank. Arrangements by Funeral Alternatives of Washington, Sumner. 863-2800.

Fritzi and Family, I was so shocked and saddened to learn that Steve had died. He was the most gentle and honorable man I have ever known. My heart goes out to you and your family.
