William Rueter Obituary

William "Bill" Rueter Bill Rueter, of Gig Harbor, died at home of brain cancer Jan. 25, 2009 surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 29, 1923 in St. Clair, MO to William and Louise Rueter. He served in the U.S. ArmyEAir Corps in WWII, flew 35 missions in B17's out of Foggia, Italy, was a 50-year member of the Young Mens Institute, 31-year member of NARFE and a charter member of St. Nicholas Knights of Columbus. Bill leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years, Suzanne; their three children, Joe (Tami) Rueter of Olympia, WA, Anne (Greg) Scea of Gig Harbor, WA and Carroll (Tim) Olson of Springfield, VA; their four grandchildren: Derek, Johanna, Sarah and John, numerous family members and friends. A celebration of Bill's life will be held on Friday, Jan. 30, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Gig Harbor with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to MultiCare/Good Samaritan Hospice at P.O. Box 5200, MS 3901-1-HH, Tacoma, WA 98415.
