"It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia "Patty" Ann Cook on January 22, 2025, at the age of 78. Patty was born on February 9, 1946, in Seymour, IN, to Gene and Christena (Wiley) Biehle.
Patty met the love of her life and beloved husband, Gail Cook of 48 years. Patty was known for her strong will, unwavering determination, spending time with her dear family, and lifelong love of music. Along with her husband, she was a devout member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in North Vernon, IN. There Patty played organ and directed adult choir for many years.
Patty truly knew that it was more blessed to give than to receive. She donated often to the Food For the Poor (FFtP) organization and supported the Jennings County Council on Domestic Violence. Patty was a loving mother and grandmother and a beautiful soul who would help anyone.
Patty worked for 34 years at Muscatatuck State Developmental Center before it closed in 2005. She was first hired at Muscatatuck State Hospital and Training Center as a music therapist in 1971. In later years, she worked diligently as a case manager and was eventually the director of a geriatric unit.
