Christopher Anklam Obituary
He was born July 29, 1965, to the late Gilbert and Marie (Christensen) Anklam. Chris married Veronica Campbell on June 10, 1989. Chris served proudly in the Navy for 25 years, serving on submarines and achieving the rank of captain before retiring. After retiring, he enjoyed teaching math at Camden County High School. He was proud to be a "part owner" of the Green Bay Packers and to share a birthday with Rush's Geddy Lee.
He is survived by his wife, Veronica; four children, Benjamin, Emily, Sarah and Alexander; one granddaughter, Jennifer; sister, Patti (Joe) Hutchinson; brother, Tim (Mica) Anklam; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, family members at-large, shipmates and friends.
He is preceded in death by parents, Gilbert and Marie; and brothers, Marvin and Lynn.
Services will be held in Wisconsin at a later date. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the National Veterans Foundation.
Allison Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

I knew Veronica from when my husband was on the Annapolis ( I was acting Ombudsman ) and then wives group President. Captain Donald Newbert/ or Capt. Bartholomew was in command then. That was my favorite command Jamey (ET1)Adcock had been assigned to. Veronica was one of the officers wives who I really enjoyed talking to. There's nothing like being accepted by staff members it really makes the absence from sea duty bearable. Jamey spoke time to time of working with his XO. I'm sorry for your loss. They speak of " brothers at sea", the wives too look out for eachother.
