Clement Andrew "Clem" Hinkebein

Clement "Clem" Andrew Hinkebein, 72, of Benton, died Oct. 18, 2025, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.

Clem was born on Feb. 14, 1953, to Louis and Dorthy Hinkebein in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He married his wife in 1976 and fathered three daughters. He always had a passion as a sheetmetal worker and opened his own business, Industrial Sheet Metal, in 1987. He sold the business to enjoy retirement in 2016.

He was a faithful member of St. Pius the Tenth Catholic Church for over 40 years. He was an active participant in the Knights of Columbus during his younger years where he helped frequently at the lenten fish fries.

Clem had many hobbies which included riding motorcycles and side-by-sides on his many trails, watching NASCAR races, camping, and just moving dirt or knocking down trees on his equipment.

Clem is survived by his wife of 49 years, Brenda "Kaye"; three daughters, Angie (Jonathan) Mason, Julie (Jeff) Risley, and Christine Thornton, all of Benton; eight grandchildren, Kyler (Abby) Mason, Laynee (David) Delgado, Mya Mason, Ava Mason, Kendall Risley, Camryn Risley, Josie Mason, Max Risley; one great-granddaughter, Sage Mason; two sisters; Carol Ann Phelp and Mary Jo Herzog; and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis John and Dorthy Frances (Jansen) Hinkebein; his stepmother, Louise (Houser) Hinkebein; brother, Charlie Hinkebein, and brothers-in-law, Herb Conkright and Herbie Herzog.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Calvert City, with Brian Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow at Marshall County Memory Gardens.
