Hampstead, New Hampshire - Dr. David Lanning, 96, of Hampstead, NH passed away April 26th at the Lahey Clinic. He grew up in Oregon and graduated from the University of Oregon and he received his doctorate from MIT. David was a professor at MIT for Nuclear Engineering. After retiring, David and his wife, Gloria wintered in Florida and summered in Maine. He enjoyed reading, watching the news, keeping informed on all thing's science, watching the grandkids and breakfast with The Rowdy Bunch. David will be deeply missed by his children, Daniel Lanning and wife Catherine of TX, Stephan Lanning and wife Bee of FL, Davida Brule and husband Paul of NH, his siblings Don Lanning and wife Barbara of Kennewick Washington, his 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandson who was his buddy and his many loved nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service is Wed, May 1 at 1:00PM at Hampstead Congregational Church, 61 Main St, Hampstead, NH. Arrangements are under the care of Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH. Memorial donations in David's name may be made to Hampstead Congregational Church, 61 Main St, Hampstead, NH 03841 or the Lutheran Church of the Living Water, 12475 Chancellor Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33953.
