HOWARD DALE MCCLEARY Howard Dale McCleary, 74, of Kennewick, Washington passed away, Sunday April 1, 2018. Howard was born May 1, 1943 in Butte, Montana to James and Jane (Hunter) McCleary. He was the youngest of 8 children. The family moved to Richland, Wa in 1944 and he lived in the Tri-City area his entire life. He attended Columbia High School and took classes at Columbia Basin College. Howard had many interesting jobs including executive chef, catering director, business owner, counselor, insulator, & builder. His most important and most valued job was that of a dad, brother, uncle, and friend. Howard lived a life full of true love and genuine laughter. He had a true gift of storytelling and the ability to make everyone around him laugh. He will forever be remembered for his wit, humor and love for good conversation. He was a classic and had such a unique, charming character. His deep, bright, loving blue eyes will shine on always. Howard is survived by his daughter Lori Johnson (Bill); two grand-daughters,Taylor and Abby; his sisters Beverly Raffety (Charlie), Anna Williams, Dona Belt (Larry) and countless nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Jane, sister Betty, and brothers Jim, Tony and Jack, his best friend through life. A memorial honoring Howard's life will be held Sunday, May 6 at 11am at the Sunset Event Center at Einans in Richland, WA.
