Scott Langlois Obituary

Scott Langlois

January 21, 1962 - November 8, 2024

Kennewick, Washington - It is with the heaviest of hearts that the Langlois Clan must inform all of his close friends and family members, that Scott David Langlois, born to Patricia and Gary Langlois 01/21/1962. Has passed quietly in his sleep 11/8/2024. With no better backdrop than the constant lull of pushing and pulling ocean waves atop the white, warm sands of Cabo San Lucas Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Gary Langlois, his previous wife Kristin, and his granddaughter Emily Langlois, who were waiting with open arms for his arrival. He is survived by more than 15 children; blood related, adopted, and by marriage, and more than 10 grandchildren, 9 siblings, and a plethora of adored nieces and nephews. All of whom desperately love and will forever miss him.

Scott Langlois was a beloved husband to Amy Kochel-Langlois, and a devoted father, dedicated to helping leave places, things, and people better than he found them. His work ethics and personal morality were cut from a mold of men this modern era rarely produces, causing people to flock to the sarcastic wit that was Scott, and be better for it.

He excelled at bringing his imaginative creations to reality amidst a life already full with kids, family, camping trips, work, golf, his bestest buddies, and being a 30-year veteran of radio sales. He built incredible haunted houses, watched every Star Trek episode in existence, created fun events that lasted for decades in his local community, participated in giving back whenever he could, and still had time to give advice to someone in need, or knew how to make someone smile. He rarely put himself first, except to "always dress to impress" and "be good, or be good at it." He knew what to say and when to say it, no matter the situation, and the loss of such a man will leave an echo...

I worked with Scott and became friends, he's definitely someone that this world is going to miss dearly. Scott had a way of just radiating light and positivity in every place he was. One of those few people that truly cared about others. I'm honored to have known him and to have been his friend.

I must have heard the song: "Dance With Me" last week, because I started thinking of Scott. He dedicated that song to me in 8th grade!! I went through CK with him. He was a great guy. So sorry for your loss.

Scott was an amazing man. He gave me a home when I didn't have one and a family when I need one. A good friend that can never be replaced. I'll miss you and all the good times.

Scott was a regular customer of mine at Circle K. For a while, he was known as Mr. $15 on pump 2. Then I asked his name. By chance, I found out that I know his brother Kirkpatrick and his niece Patience. He was always so happy and just pleasant to be around. He will be missed very much. Love and hugs to the Langlois Clan.

Scott was one of the first friends I met when I moved to the Tri-Cities in with grade. We hung out every day for several summers riding our bikes to the big pool running around Richland and just playing having fun and lots of laughs. He has remained very special to me and will truly be missed, after having been friends for almost 50 years and graduating together from the class of 1980 which was one of the best classes to ever graduate from Richland high for sure! He will never be forgotten, and his legacy will live on through his children and his family. Prayers to the Langlois family and all who loved him. He will be missed ,
