Kenneth Doyle Obituary

Kenneth M. Doyle, 93, of Preston Park, PA, died on Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at home. He was born on August 13, 1916 in Poyntelle, PA, the son of Irvin and Pearl (Mosher) Doyle.
Ken was a member of the Shehawken United Methodist Church for 60 years and he was a 32nd Degree Mason for 55 years. He was also a Shriner, Odd Fellow, Charter Member of the Northern Wayne Fire Co., and Past President of the Binghamton Bowling Association. Ken was a 30 yr. Preston Twp. Supervisor, drove school bus for 30 years, and was also a dairy farmer for nearly 30 years. Ken was an avid bowler and golfer. He married Helen Kerchner on January 5, 1937 and she predeceased him on May 19, 1999.
Surviving are three grandchildren, Kenneth and wife Carla Houshultz, Hancock, NY, Becky and husband Alan Jones, Preston Park, PA, and Pat and wife Karen Houshultz, Honesdale, PA, and four great grandchildren, Cait, Kyle, Spencer, and Garret Houshultz. He is also survived by a foster son, Art Spangenburg, two sisters, Winnie Nield and Eleanor Hempstead, and one brother, Gaylord. He was predeceased by his daughter, Donna, and brothers, Donald and Walter.
There will be one hour of calling from 12 to1 p.m. and a memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at the Shehawken United Methodist Church, Shehawken, on Saturday, January, 2, 2010, with Pastor Pat Hanley officiating.
