Marlene Klages Obituary
Born on November 9, 1952 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the Late William and Anna (Amundsen) Klages.
She grew up in Freeport L.I. and worked for the phone company for 20 years.
She moved to Tyler Hill, Pa 25 years ago.
She loved the country, gardening and taking care of children, also baking and doing crafts.
She was also known to her family as the gadget queen.
Marlene is survived by her four sisters: Anita and her husband Sal Urso of Hazelton, PA, Peg Pearsall of Beach Lake, PA, Gretchen and her husband Barry Williams of Randolph, VA, Tina Williams of Old Lyme, CT., one brother William Klages of Staten Island, NY and eleven nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later time at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions can be made in to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 100 William St., Dunmore, PA 18512 in memory of Marlene V. Klages.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rasmussen Funeral Home, Narrowsburg, NY. 845-252-3901.

Marlene and her family were my next-door neighbors and we grew up together. She was my VERY FIRST "bestest" friend and a wonderful friend at that! She had not an OUNCE of malice in her and even though we lost touch because of distance and years, I will always remember her with love and admiration. I can't believe I didn't hear about this until 8 years since her passing. I have thought of her often and I am not just saying this. One does not forget their first best friend and certainly not a lovely and kind one, like Marlene. My heart hurts!! My
Condolences go to Marlene's family and friends and my regret for not keeping in touch regularly will be with me forever. Rest Peacefully, Dear Marlene. You will be missed!!
