Sheila Dexheimer Obituary

Sheila Dexheimer, Waymart, died Feb. 19, 2011, at the Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. She was the widow of Robert Dexheimer.
Born in Budd Lake, Nj., she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Ella Swingle Mills. She had been employed as a housekeeper at the Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Surviving are sons Gerald Sheerer of Forest City and Thomas Strasburger of Waymart; a daughter Dorraine Strasburger of Throop; sisters Dorothy Mills of Lake Ariel, Faith Wharton of Lake Ariel and Yvonne Juice and her husband William of Honesdale; a brother John Mills and his wife Kathy of Hawley; six grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; caregiver and niece Sandra Ireland; several nieces and nephews.
Cremation took place in the Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home.
Spring interment of cremains in the Glen Dyberry Cemetery.

she was my mom and my friend she was alway's there for me when i was sick and sad as i was there for her talking for hours on the phone and in person laughing joking she was a kind and sweet mother to her family she has been through a rough life but in return she made our lives better by filling our lives with love with tears love and joy i love and miss you mom your son gerald h sheerer/skelton

I am so sorry for the loss. Sheila was a wonderful person with the biggest heart. I will always be grateful for her opening up her home to me and for being there at the birth of my daughter Jordan. You will always be in my heart, see you again some day. Until then, enjoy the Heavens with all your family and friends
