To the Devoe Family. Although I knew Art and apreciated his great sense of humor, I was not fortunate enough to see him but a couple times since we gratuated from the class of 54,Shen HS. Thank goodness, recently at a mini reunion in CP on Sept 2012, a few of us 54 grads ate lunch together. Us guys reviewed our athletic prowness of 53-54.

Art was an athelete and we played all varsity sports.

You could not know a nicer guy.

To the family of Art Devoe. He was a wonderul and pleasant person. I knew Art and his wife, the late Shirley Devoe. She and I traveled, with excellent directions to the Granville VFW Post. That's because Art gave the directions because Shirley never drove. Art is in a place where there is no more pain nor sorrow. We love you. May God comfort the family during their great lost. Arthur and Cindylee, So saddened to hear of the passing of your Dad. He was a wonderful man. My Dad (Martin) and he were best friends. My Mom (Gloria)and your MOM were also very good friends. Your Mom would come and visit my Mom when my Mom was sick and it was so appreciated by us. My Dad used to love visiting your parents and playing Cribbage with them. Our Dads did so much together, from the VFW to the National Honor Guard and let's not forget the great piano incident or the great car crash as I always called it. Those two were a pair that could beat a full house any day ! Sorry that I will not be able to attend his services, but please know that he will be in my prayers...Kevin Connors.
