Bryan Goewey Obituary

Bryan J. GoeweyLOUDONVILLE - Bryan J. Goewey entered into heaven on June 4, 2018. To have known Bryan was to love him. He touched the hearts of everyone that he met, leaving his handprint on our hearts. He was a soul saver. Bryan was an attentive loving husband who adored his wife, Jane, and filled her heart with love and joy every day. He was her Lovey! He was a hands on loving father of his 3 children and the sun rose and set over them. He was a man of great faith, a person who followed his dreams and helped others realize theirs. A very willing and generous person when sought by those needing help or a fresh start in life. Bryan lived his life with conviction, integrity and an unwavering moral compass. He truly lived life to the fullest. Bryan's happy place was in Bolton Landing with family, friends, sunsets, boat rides and treasured memories (and lobster rolls!)Bryan is survived by his wife Jane Bailey Goewey, his children Lauren, Michael and Rose, father Kenneth W Goewey, mother Jerrie Ann McEvily Goewey (deceased), his siblings KC (Susan), Tim, Kate Burke (Michael) and his nieces Hannah, Shelby and Courtnie.Bryan was a proud graduate of the LaSalle Institute of Troy. He continued his studies at the National Auto Dealer's Dealer Academy, The Ford Motor New Dealer Academy and The Disney Institute.Bryan dedicated 35 years to the automotive industry, owning New Car Franchises for Dodge, Ford and Kia and several used car locations. Bryan was a "servant leader" and loved working with so many wonderful people throughout his career. He had a passion for building teams and helping others develop their careers, many who went on to own their own successful business. Bryan had an extensive network of friends in the automotive and motorsports world. From the age of 12, Bryan had a passion for racing and spent a majority of his life supporting and being a fan of motorsports at Lebanon Valley Speedway.Bryan will be sorely missed by all who knew him. We were so blessed to have had him for this short time on earth, but know he will be watching over all of us from heaven.Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday June 7, 2018 from 3:00-7:00 pm at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Road, Loudonville NY 12211, with Mass being celebrated at 7:00 pm at the conclusion of the visitation. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The St Peter's ALS Center, 19 Warehouse Row, Albany, NY 12205 or online: givetostpeters.orgFor directions, information or to light a memory candle for the family please visit www.dufresneandcavanaugh.com. http://www.lastingmemories.com/bryan-j-goewey-1

Firstly I am so saddened by this terrible loss and my heart aches for the family. Bryan truly was my first boss......he was so talented and gracious and fun! He embodied DISNEY and instilled a passion for customer service that I have carried throughout my career. I was fortunate enough to babysit for Lauren as a newborn and witness a perfect loving family as a college student. Bryan, you were a great businessman but more importantly a great human. I'm forever grateful you were my first boss, and friend, and set the standard very high for other bosses in my future. You will be missed.
