Dear Arlene,
I was thinking about you and our work together and chose to google Ed to see if you were in the area. Needless to say, I was shocked to hear about his passing. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Feel free to contact me if you ever need to talk.
With sympathy,

I was saddened to learn of Dr. Murphy's passing. He was such an inspirational leader for those of us who worked at the Leonard Hospital and then Seton Health. My most sincere condolences are extended to his family. His memory will live on in those whose lives he touched with his good humor, great foresight, and can-do spirit.

I can't begin to say how much you, Ed Murphy, meant to me and so many others who knew you at Leonard and Seton Health. Your love of life, family, and every accomplishment for the good of others will live on. You loved to laugh, you loved a challenge, you loved Arlene and your daughters. I thought you could do anything, and you often did everything. My heart is hurting over your passing, I will miss you so much!
