Elizabeth DeMio Obituary
Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Attilio J. and Anna Keefe DeMio.
Betty was a lifelong area resident and graduated from the Central New York School for the Deaf in Rome, New York. She was employed for 48 years with the New York State Taxation and Finance Departmentt as a key punch operator. Betty was an avid Yankees fan and enjoyed knitting, reading and spending time with her loving family and friends.
She is survived by her devoted niece and nephew, Patricia DeMio and John M. and his wife, Mary Ann DeMio, all of Waterford.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Virginia and John J. DeMio.
A funeral service from Fitzgerald Funeral Home Ltd., 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Church of The Holy Trinity in Cohoes.
Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Waterford.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday prior to the Mass.
A heartfelt thank you to Rose, Maddy, Sabrina, Aunt Ginny, Karen, Dr. Rashid, the staff at the Eddy Heritage House and the late Howard for all their wonderful care and support given to Betty.

So sorry to hear about Betty's passing. Had the pleasure to work with Betty for years. So many funny stories and sweet friendship. She always spoke of her family with love and fondness. The world is less joyful with her passing.

I had been visiting Betty at the nursing home almost weekly for 2 years. She was a great friend to me. We shared laughter and stories. I missed her so much.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of the Demio Family Betty was very lucky to have all of you in her life she always spoke of you guys saying that you all were very good to her and that she was lucky cause like me being alone is not easy.
Our dear Betty loved our dear friend Howard now I am sure they both are watching over all of us.
Betty was a true friend and will always be remembered.

I'll miss Betty very much...she gave so much of herself and never asked for anything in return, such an example that world without Betty will not be the same...thoughts and prayers are with the DeMio family as she thought the world of Johnny and Patty
