Lucille A. Trzcinski BRUNSWICK – Lucille Ann (Mason) Trzcinski, 86, formerly of Watervliet, passed into the Lord’s loving arms at home, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, August 1, 2015. Lucille, the daughter of a lighthouse keeper, was born in Staten Island, NY on January 8, 1929. She spent a portion of her childhood in Sandy Hook and Fort Hancock, New Jersey prior to moving to upstate New York. Lucille was a hair dresser and later worked as a telephone operator for the New York Telephone Company in Troy from where she retired. Her greatest joy in life was caring for her family, especially her grandchildren, who provided her with much pleasure and pride. She had been excitedly awaiting the birth of her great-granddaughter last fall. Lucille also loved animals, especially her dogs. She found much joy in bird watching and gardening. Lucille was the beloved wife of the late Thomas E. Trzcinski; loving mother of Robert E. Trzcinski (Sharon) of Rhinebeck, Carol T. Trzcinski of Troy and Kathleen A. Trzcinski Phelan (Edward) of Brunswick; loving grandmother of Carrie A. Phelan of Troy, Kelly M. Phelan of Troy and Ryan A. Phelan of Troy; adoring great-grandmother of Brooke Phelan; daughter of the late Anna Tomala Mason and William E. Mason; dear sister of Jeanne Sweat of Albany and the late William, Robert and Joan Mason. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and many dear friends, especially Monica Callahan. A service will be held on Thursday, August 6 at 11:30 AM in the Parker Brothers Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet with Pastor Will Babarczy of Grace Fellowship Church officiating. A committal ceremony will follow in the Gardner Earl Chapel at Oakwood Cemetery, Troy. Friends are invited and may also visit with Lucille’s family on Wednesday, August 5, from 5 until 7 PM at the funeral home.
