Marie M. Flike Bechard COHOES - Marie M. Flike Bechard, 84, of Alder St. in Cohoes, died Monday April 29, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy embraced by her loving family. Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mable Paessant Flike and beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Bechard. Marie was a life long resident of Cohoes and attended the Cohoes Schools. She was raised by her loving Uncle George and Aunt Exilda Geouch. She was employed as a seamstress with the former Bennett Textile in Cohoes. Marie enjoyed playing Bingo, but her true enjoyment came from watching her grandsons play baseball. She was their number one fan. Marie is survived by her devoted children, Nancy (James) Keefe and Linda Teeter all of Cohoes, and Joey Bechard of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl, cherished grandchildren, James (Julie) Keefe of Canton GA, Tracy Willi of Cohoes, Aaron Teeter of Albany and Travis (Kristin) Teeter of Baltimore, MD, adored great grandchildren, Jake and Alyssa Willi of Cohoes and Alex, Kaitlyn, Spencer and Jason Keefe all of GA, sisters Doris Villiroman and Delores Spencer both of CA, dear friend Emarie Deshaw and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her feline friends, Bushy, Cupie and Prettys. She was predeceased by her siblings, Olive Durocher and Harold Flike. A funeral service will be held in the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ltd 105 Vliet Blvd Cohoes Thursday morning at 11 o'clock with Reverend William D. Turnbull officiating. Interment will be in Memory Gardens in Colonie. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-7 pm. Marie's family wishes to extend their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to Dr, Kevin Costello and the 5th floor staff at St. Mary's hospital for all their wonderful care, love and support given to Marie.
