Patrick M. O’Bryan ALBANY - Patrick M. O’Bryan, 54, died at his home on Tuesday, August 18, 2015. Born in Troy, son of Patricia O’Donnell O’Bryan Hebert of Clearwater, FL and the late Gerald O’Bryan, he was raised in Troy and has resided in Albany for the last 10 years. Patrick was a graduate of LaSalle Institute in Troy, Class of 1979 and HVCC. He had been employed by St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany for the last 12 years. Patrick was a compassionate man who volunteered his time helping others at Planned Parenthood and the RPI chapter of Literacy Volunteers. He was an avid reader and writer and had a passion for music and film. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his sister, Kathleen O’Bryan of Watervliet; his brother, Daniel (Jolene) O’Bryan of Wynantskill; his niece, Danielle Rosenberg of Watervliet; his stepfather, Jack Hebert of Clearwater, FL; and his best friend, Joseph Osterlitz of Albany. A Memorial Service will be held at the McNulty Funeral Home, 147 Hudson Avenue, Green Island on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. prior to the services. Interment will be with his father in St. Jean’s Cemetery in Troy. Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Patrick. When we needed a new home for our cat, he graciously accepted and we were so grateful. They made a great pair and I think he brought some sparkle to Pat's eyes. I will miss Patrick, I already do.
