Philip Frament Obituary

LATHAM - Philip R. Frament, 94, of Latham Ridge Road died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Eddy Village Green in Cohoes.
Born in Cohoes, he was the son of the late J. Gaspard and Rose Emile Bialeski Frament and the beloved husband of the late Helen Omilinowicz Frament.
Philip was a lifelong area resident and attended Cohoes schools.
He was World War II Army Air Force veteran and was the recipient of the American Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, World War II Victory Medal and Ils Grandiront (French Emblem of the Centres de Formation Du Personnel Navigant Et Des Mecaniciens En Amerique).
Philip was a machinist and worked for Beaunit Mills. He retired in 1981 as a plant engineer from Chris Craft in Waterford.
He was accomplished in woodworking, carpentry and building furniture.
In his retirement years, he enjoyed researching genealogy.
Philip was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Pataiezza Post in Albany, the American Legion in Watervliet and the Franco American Association of New York.
He was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church in Latham.
Philip is survived by his loving daughter, Frances Rose Polito and her husband, Joel, of Fredonia; adored grandchildren, Jocelyn Rose Polito and her husband, Jacob Boyle, Jodie Michelle and Michael Joel Polito; sister, Bernadette Girard of Holyoke, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Aline Ameido and P. Leonard and Roger Albert Frament.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home Ltd., 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes. A Mass of Christian Burial wille be held at 11 a.m. from St. Ambrose Church in Latham.
Interment with full military honors will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at the funeral home.

Fran,
Sorry to hear of your Dads passing. We will miss seeing him at Awards Night. I am sure he is with your Mom.
