Ruby Pine

Ruby Pine WEST HOOSICK - Ruby Laura Pine 95, passed away on Tuesday September 18 at the Center for Living & Rehabilitation in Hoosick Falls, New York. She formerly resided on Pine Hill Road in West Hoosick. Ruby was the wife of the late Lester J. Pine who died in 1973. Ruby was born on the family farm in West Hoosick on May 2, 1917, daughter of the late Charles and Edith (Armstrong) Hunt. She graduated from Hoosick Falls High School. Ruby was a homemaker and worked the Board of Elections as a Inspector for forty years. She also helped her daughter and son-in-law Joyce and Ronald Seifert at Seiferts Auction Service. Ruby was a very active member of the West Hoosick Baptist Church where she served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Trustee, member of the Gleaners Society and the United Class. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors are her daughter Janet Bugbee of Hoosick Falls, NY, daughter Joyce and Ronald Seifert of West Hoosick, NY, twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, a nephew and two nieces. Ruby is predeceased by a brother Edgar Hunt and a great granddaughter Laura Marbot. Funeral services will be Sunday September23, at 2:00 pm from the West Hoosick Baptist Church. Burial will follow the service at the West Hoosick Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Hoosick Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, New York.
