Aunt Sally was a very classy lady who my Uncle Bill absolutely adored. She always had such a lovely smile.

We all have wonderful memories of Aunt Sally. She was such a lovely person, and we were blessed to have her in our lives. Kim, please know how much the Coonleys, Bishops, and Massons loved your mom, and how much she will be missed. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this sad and difficult time. What a huge blessing it is to have been touched so deeply by my Aunt Sally. I have always said that she is my favorite person of all time. Her kindness and love emanated to anyone who knew her. God let us enjoy her here for 98 years because we needed her living example of love. Now we have her memory that continues to warm the spirit. She loved her family and you all showed your love to her very well. She is certainly missed. My special memories of her involve a wooden shoe in the kitchen window, the VW bug rides to a lake and pink Necco candy. She was so special.

Kim, your mom was such a warm, friendly and sweet lady. From the time you and I became friends back at School 18 she was always the same. When she asked me to sell the family home for her I was honored ... and she gave me a sterling pin of a snowman. It is the first thing that comes out every winter and I think of her with a smile. The beautiful words from students in her Kindergarten classes (some 70 years ago !) are truly a tribute to her special character. You were blessed to have her as a mom, and she was blessed to have you as not only her daughter but also her best friend. Remember the good times, she is now with your dad and at rest.

Coonley Family-
Mrs. Coonley was my kindergarten teacher at Troy School 17 (1967-1968). My memory is that on the day that we were having our pictures taken, Mrs. Coonley wasn´t there and I refused to smile. Yes...Mrs. Coonley was one of the warmest and gentlest women I have ever known.
She will be forever in my heart.

Thank you to all of you for your kind words and sharing your memories of my grandmother. She was one of kind and left her mark on everyone she met. My heart is aching so much, and to see all these nice notes truly warms it. She would just want from the world for all of us to be kind to one another, and these notes are truly appreciated.
Thank you, Kylee Midura, her granddaughter

Kim,
Your mom was one of those special people that came into our lives and left such
wonderful memories and smiles for us to cherish. You were the "one of a kind" daughter that made her so proud and brought her tremendous happiness throughout her life.
May she rest in peace and may you find comfort in all the memories that you have of her.

Kim, Your mom was a gift to all who knew her. Having lived the last 30+ years near her residence I enjoyed seeing her @ Price Chopper. Growing up on North Lake on the farm we were neighbors. You are blessed to have been her daughter. Carolyn Miler Chenot.

I am so sorry to hear about Sally. She was a dear friend of mine for many, many years. I met her at church-the Memorial Methodist Church and then I found out she lived on N Lake Ave near me. We became fast friends sharing our hobbies of her teddy bears, antiques, great lunches and my art-oil paintings. I did a special painting for her to honor our friendship....my family and I delivered it to her and Bill one Christmas Eve. What a great moment that was---Sally-I know you are resting in peace-I will love you always. Thanks for the memories!

I knew Sally first back in the 60's when I started teaching. I then kept seeing she and her husband at all the antique sales a d auctions..comparing stories. Of course our favorite place to cross paths was Duncan's Dairy bar!!! Which was often. She was a great woman.

I will miss seeing Sally when I'm at the Eddy. I always asked her how she was doing and she gave me the big beautiful smile and said fine. My Dad, who passed away in February loved sitting with her at dinner and would stay to be with her and my Mom till they were finished. She had a good long life and I'm sure was a fantastic kindergarten teacher! My condolences to Kim and the rest of her family.

I´ve often thought of Sally over the years and as sad as her passing is to her family, it brings joy reading she lived a long life. Sally was loved and admired by her colleagues at School #17 (and we all knew Bill too). So fortunate our paths crossed teaching together 1974-76 at such a special school.

Kim, so sorry to see you mom passed, but she did have a long and good life, and she raised a very fine daughter. Her memories will be there for you forever. It is a hard and sad time, but she will be out of this crazy world and into a better place.

Condolences to Mrs. Coonley's family. Mrs. Coonley was my kindergarten teacher in 1965. I would chat with her whenever I visited my mother at The Eddy. When I first introduced myself to her & told her I was a former student she asked me if I had enjoyed kindergarten. Yes, I said & we chatted about all the things we did in class. We even talked about the VW bug she drove and the "Emma Willard" shoes she wore. She was a warm and gracious teacher. I will miss our chats at The Eddy.

Mrs. Coonley was my Kindergarten teacher in 1971 at School 17. So sad. She was by far my favorite teacher of all time. Amazing... was just thinking about her a week ago. That says something to her impact on lives.
