Bill and I had a close relationship for several years during the early 70's. In particular I remember Laura's piano playing, all the Engelke kids doing their part to help collect litter in Vanderheyden Park, and especially sail boat racing on Lake George. Bill's home was always open to me if I wanted to just 'drop by'. Having been away summers, Bill and I didn't see much of each other since those days but I treasure the time we did get to spend together.

I enjoyed the time we shared in Kiwanis. Bill was full of enthusiasm and a real leader in our club. He inspired me with his dedication and his caring relationship with friends and colleagues. I share in the sadness of his family & friends at his passing. His memories will always be with us.
