Andrew Leonard Obituary
A talented athlete, Andrew always stood out on the basketball court as a shooting guard at Cienega High School. Andrew continued his career at Central Arizona College for two years, showcasing his skills and setting a 50-point record in the Fiesta Tournament. He later transferred and continued playing basketball for Western New Mexico University leaving a lasting impact on his teammates with his dedication and spirit. Ultimately, Andrew received his master's degree in business administration from WNMU and secured his dream job as a Financial Analyst for Pima County.
Andrew was more than an athlete; he was a devoted son, a loyal friend, and an inspiration to all who knew him. His courage in facing his illness was a testament to his strength and character. Andrew leaves behind his loving parents, Aaron and Leslie Leonard, brothers Jacob and Ryan Leonard, Grandmothers Cindy Resnick and Anita Leonard, beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, his maltipoo Nash, and his friends who will forever cherish his memory.
A Celebration of Andrew's life will be held at the Tucson Firefighter's Association at 2430 N. Huachuca Drive in Tucson on May 17 from 1:00pm-5:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.

Andrew was always a respectful gentleman. Ever since leaving WNMU he always kept in contact. He always greeted me with an infectious smile and warm hug when he would see me on campus. And when he came back to WNMU for games he would still make his way to find me at games to give a warm welcome. Andrew´s passing has hurt my heart so much. From one parent to another whose kids ages are just days apart, Mr. & Mrs. Leonard my prayers are with you.
Andrew will always be missed.
