Anne Lucille Eckhoff
Anne Lucille (Shurtleff) Eckhoff was born in Milford, Massachusetts on June 17, 1956. She passed away on February 22, 2012. She is survived by her husband, the love of her life of 35 years, Rick Eckhoff and her children, Dustin (Andrea) Eckhoff and Leah (Cody) Miller. As evidence of her faith and love for Jehovah she symbolized her dedication by baptism as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on July 10, 1970. We look forward to the day we can welcome our beautiful Anne back in the Paradise on earth. John 5:28, 29. A Memorial Service will be held at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5643 E. Lee Street, on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements by HUDGEL'S SWAN FUNERAL HOME.

I remember the days when my older sisters, you, Anne, and your family and friends used to always get together. I was truly saddened over the loss of your wife...our dear sister. I had the pleasure of chatting with Anne at last years Convention. Since I haven't lived in Tucson for many years, It's been a while since i've seen many of the friends. So it sure was good catching up with her. I can only imagine what you and your family must be going through. But unlike so many in this world, we have a hope-Jehovah's promise that all of our loved ones who are asleep in death will awaken once again. In view of this emploding system we live in, that time will happen VERY SOON. Stay close to Jehovah and continue to draw strength from him in prayer-he will carry you through this most difficult time (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4; Romans 12:12). My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. With warm Christian love.

I was just getting to know Anne, and enjoying her company so much. We were making plans to go out in service in March and to do other things. I so appreciated her company and was so looking forward to getting to know her better, she was delightful! I will miss her and keep you in my prayers.

To all of Anne's family,
I remember your beautiful Anne from my teenage years on up. I was so grieved to hear of Anne's passing and of your...our...loss. As my sister, Leah, mentioned, we have lost 2 family members in the same manner, and know the deep, despairing pain you are in right now. Please remember that Jehovah knows all and understands everything, and will be with you through this almost unbearable situation and will comfort you and hold you up when you feel you cannot stand another minute of the grief. He also understands Anne's pain, and what she did to uphold his name while she was able to. It will not be long before she will be in your arms again. Until then, "trust in Jehovah with all your might, and do not lean upon your own understanding." We cannot always understand why, but with Jehovah's help, we can endure until he brings our loved ones back to us. We will keep you in our prayers, and are here for you if you need to talk.

I will always cherish our Rocky Point memories. She was such a sweet and generous friend. I'm so sad we never got to have our shrimp boil on the beach.

Anne was a lovely woman with a tinkly voice and beautiful smile. I didn't see her often, but over the years she always had kind words to share when we did happen to see each other. Rick, Dustin, Leah -- I am so very, very sorry for the loss of her and so sad for the grief that you and other family & friends who love her are enduring. May Jehovah give you some measure of comfort and relief while you wait to kiss that sweet face again.

To the Eckhoff and Shurtleff families:
I am so sorry about her death. It is such a comfort to remember that she is sleeping now, and in Jehovah's memory, and that we will wait for her and all our other family members and friends who will be coming back. When my sister, Lana (Ray) Johnson and I were teens we used to visit with Anne and her brother and sister at the assemblies, and I always liked her. Then after I married, my husband and I were in the same congregation with both families and I enjoyed being there with Anne. Please know that my heart goes out to you now, and also please know that some of us have gone through this situation with other family members(my son, Andrew McPhalen; my father, Norman Ray), and are here to help if we can.
