Anton "Ray" Cecrle

Anton "Ray" Cecrle 10/4/1939 - 4/3/2011 Ray, formerly of Overland Park, KS, died peacefully in Tucson, Arizona after three years of failing health. He was born in Topeka, Kansas, educated in Wichita, Kansas and spent three years in the Army with assignments that sent him to Greece and Turkey. Upon his return to Kansas City, MO, he started working for Luce, Thompson, a regional Brokerage firm later bought by Stifel, Nicolaus and Co. His tenure at Stifel would last 42 years until his retirement in September 2008. Ray loved his golf, traveling and The Kansas City Chiefs. He and his wife of 35 years, Barbi, moved to Tucson, Arizona where he was able to play a little more golf until serious health issues prevented him in doing so. Along with his wife, Ray is survived by his sister, Mary Jo Bird (Bob) of Hilton Head, SC; brother, Robert (Carol) of Las Vegas, NV; brother-in-law, Tom Bacon of Payson, AZ; niece, Kathy O'meara; her sons, Alec and Nate of Parker, CO; Mike Bird (Sarah) and daughter, Sophia of Denver, CO and Lola, the Schnoodle.
