Carmen CAMACHO Obituary

CAMACHO, Carmen C. passed away on September 5, 2018. She is preceded in death by parents, Simon and Jacinta Carranza; husband, Leo Camacho; her brothers, Alfonso, Cornelio, Angel and Simon and sister, Herminia Yañez. She is survived by her beloved son, Rene Camacho (Susie Salvidar); sisters, Vicky Cañez and Connie Perez; her many loving nephews and nieces and caregiver, Lorena Marquez. Carmen was very proud of her son, Rene and loved to tell every one of his world travels and artists he recorded and performed with. Carmen loved to meet new people and made fast friends of all she met. Her many co-workers at Carrillo Elementary will miss her smile and fun times. We were very blessed to have shared our lives with this special woman who left a trail of heart prints in her life's journey. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY (South Chapel), with a Rosary recited at 9:00 a.m. Mass will follow, 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine's Cathedral. I was saddened to hear of the passing of such a great lady and exceptional human being. Carmen was one of he first friends I had in Tucson. I was just starting out my teaching career at Julia Keen Elementary School. Carmen was an incredible help and I wasn't even Rene's teacher. Whenever I have a moment of nostalgia, Carmen is always one individual that passes through those memories. Muchas gracias, mi compadre!
