Cathy dear,
I was just talking to you a couple of months ago then passed away. I did not know about it until I saw a newspaper article dated January 24th. It was very shocking for me because I missed all of your services. we knew each other for such a long time. You are a great loss for me and I will miss you dearly. I love you Cathy. Tom, (my partner), Judy and Janice, I share your sorrow in the passing of a great lady. Cathy is the mom and grandma that everyone wanted and every community needs. For nearly a quarter of a century i had the priviledge of knowing her (and Tom Sr) and thinking of her as my extended family. Dear Tom, Judy, and Janice,
My deepest sympathies to you and your family. I was truly saddened when my parents called me to tell me that your mom had passed way. After hanging up the phone, I began to recall the wonderful memories that I have of your mom. As a kid I felt like your mom was my tía and I was sure that we were all related in some way. It must have been because of the special way that she had of treating each one of us. She treated us as if we were her family. I loved going over to your house to play and seeing your mom and dad.
Even though it has been years since I have seen you all, it was your mom kept me up to date on where you were and what you were doing. Your mom had that special way of making me feel like a kid again when she would refer to me as Robbie whenever she saw me at TMC (…and for the record, she was the only one that could get away with calling me “Robbie”). I made it a point to pass by the Thomas O. Price Surgical waiting room to see if she was volunteering, and when she was, I would hear, “Hi Robbie, come here!” She would then tell me how Tommy, Judy, and Janice were doing. I will miss your mom’s smile and her laugh! May God Bless and Comfort you and your family.

Tucson has lost a gracious and true lady! I was fortunate to have worked with Tom at TMC and to have gotten to know Cathy when she was volunteering at the hospital.
