Sorry I didn't see your telescope uncle Derald. I was happy to see you in Clayton NM yrs ago. Your niece was the bane of the family...mine and yours. sorry for both of us.

Oh I am sad. He was a member of the IBM Amateur Radio Club. I asked him once why he as an amateur astronomer was in our radio club. He answered I am the same hobby however my frequencies are very much higher than yours (light).
He had a well designed mobile telescope and at schools he and he fellow astronomers would give the children great views of the stars and planets.
I also remember driving by his home and seeing his observatory.
