Dear Professor Shakel,
I took your Geology class at PCC, and went on a fast weekend tour to Los Angeles, w/4 other students. I will never forget the mud volcanoes in the Salton Sea. I learned so much, you made Geology fun to learn.
May you rest in peace!

Doug: Because of your excellent field trips, I still look for uncomformities at every roadcut. Will always remember you and your energy. Thank you and rest in peace.
