Dear Ed Stevens Family, so sorry to hear the passing of Ed. Yes this is 13 years late. I was Mary and Ed's mailman in Richland approximately 1980-1984. I want to say on Alice street( maybe Arbor or Agnus St)I do remember how nice people they were to me. I always enjoyed the short conversations. The one I do really remember is when Ed invited me in after he had just told me he was on the Gold Medal row team of the 1952 Olympics. He asked if I wanted to hold his medal. Heck yes I said. That was a thrill and over the years I think how many people have held a gold medal, not that many. I have thought of Ed many a time over the years during the Olympics. What a nice thing he did. It always gives me a feel good moment. Thank You Ed. I did retire from USPS in 2017 (39 years ). The best part of my job was serving my wonderful customers like Ed.
