Edward Johnson Obituary

Edward James Johnson was born in Keokuk, Iowa on March 15, 1934 and died in Tucson, Arizona on March 15, 2025. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Anita, daughters Debra (Steve) and Kathryn (Tim), grandson Parker and great-grandson Jaxun.

Ed graduated from Iowa State University. He moved to Arizona in 1968. His varied career included early office computer systems salesman, Ford dealership owner and commercial real estate broker.

Music was a joyful part of Ed's life, and he enjoyed singing with barbershop groups and in his church choir. He also loved interesting old cars. He was a very social person and was happiest engaging with people.

There will be no services, but if you would like to honor Ed, please share a joke with someone!

Edward will always be remembered by his family in Keokuk, Iowa, where he grew up and attended high school. His dad was my dad´s oldest brother. We all looked up to the family and attended the Trinity Methodist church. A fitting role model for my brothers also with deep roots in the Argyle community. Sympathy to the family. You´re always welcome at the Johnson family annual reunion. With love to all, Nori ( Nell)
