Frances Cavallaro Obituary

CAVALLARO, FRANCES, Born in 1907 in Somerville, MA, Frances Cavallaro died peacefully on March 30, 2007. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Augustine, siblings -Denise Archambault, Katherine Johnson, Charles Hill, Gerald Hill; grandson, David Ciardiello. She is survived by her sisters, Margaret Cohane of New Hampshire and Lorraine Hill of New Have, CT; children, Augustine Cavallaro, Jr., Charles Cavallaro, Mary Jane (George) McKitis; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Augie and Fran lived in Connecticut until his retirement from his Oral Surgery practice when they moved to Florida. The move to Arizona came in 1992 so that they could be near family. She was a dynamic figure with strong opinions and a curiosity about life. She will be missed, but the relatives and friends left behind know that she was ready to take this journey. Thanks go to Elsie and Luz at The Palm Brook Home, Carole Forster, Alma Gutierrez, Joan McKitis, Penny Goldwater, Dee Lyttle and Martha Schawe and the many others who showed her great kindness throughout her years in Tucson. A memorial Mass will be held at St. Odelia's Church on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to the David Ciardiello Memorial Fund, c/o The Community Foundation for Greater New Have, 70 Audobon Street, New Haven, CT 06510.
