Frank S. Gastelum

1930 - 2022

Our brother was born in Tucson, AZ on September 3, 1930, to parents Mary S. and Frank Gastelum . He passed on May 7, 2022.  He attended Amphitheater Schools where, in his teens, played basketball, football, and the violin.  Soon after graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Navy which began his career in telecommunications.  He served 10 years followed by employment with Western Union, Mountain Bell, U.S. Sinai (Desert) Field Mission II, and retired from Century Link.  For several years, Chunny played violin with Sacred Heart Church Musicians.Tucson Civic Orchestra and, of course, at family gatherings.  Predeceased by our parents, siblings Carlos, Gilbert, Robert, and Herlinda Pariseau.  Survived by sisters Mary Alice Ledbetter, Clara McInnis, Sylvia Amparano, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his old pup "Junior".  Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, September 2, 2023, 10:00 a.m. at Sacred, Heart Church, 601 E. Ft. Lowell Rd, followed by a reception in Immaculata Hall. Interment will be at a later date at Holy Hope Cemetery. Vaya Con Dios, Chunny
