Helen Ammon Obituary

Helen L. Ammon 94, passed away on January 4, 2009. She was born on July 2, 1914. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, George B. Ammon. Also preceding her in death were her five brothers and sisters and her infant son, Clark. She is survived by her sister, Charlotte. Helen is also survived by her children, David, Pauline, Susan, Peter, Joel, Titus, Jonathon and Nani. She has 32 grandchildren and 62 great-grandchildren. Helen was a retired Registered Nurse. She was also very devoted to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church and thoroughly enjoyed volunteering with the Navajo County Sheriff's Department. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Viewing will be held on Friday, January 9, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge. Funeral service will be at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church on Saturday, January 10, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment in South Lawn Cemetery. My deepest sympathy to Helen's family in her passing. She was one of the most caring ladies you would ever meet. She and her late husband George were so very kind and generous to me in a time of need. You will be missed by more people than you will ever know.
